Cancellation / Refund Policy:

CLASS /EVENT FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE unless a class/event is canceled by Gio Culinary Studio with no rescheduled date offered.  If you need to cancel a class or event, Class credits are available with proper notification under most circumstances (see below).

Classes/Events will not be refunded if you cancel your seats for any reason. Seats reserved with Gift Cards or previously issued Class Credits will not be refunded, Gift Cards and Class Credits will not be reissued.

If you are not able to attend a scheduled class/event and would like a class credit, you must notify us a minimum of 24 hours prior to the start of class. No credits will be issued to same-day cancellations, last-minute cancellations, or no-shows. You may send someone to your place if you are not able to give proper notification.

 

Rescheduled Events: Inclement weather, unforeseen circumstances, government-mandated shutdowns: 

In the rare case an event can not be held because of inclement weather, unforeseen circumstances or government-mandated shutdown, it will be rescheduled for a later date. You will be sent notification to the contact information (email address and phone number) you provided during registration. We will make every effort to contact you a minimum of 2 hours prior to the start of class. We can not be responsible if you neglect to check your messages or have provided us with incorrect contact information. Please acknowledge the receipt of the message in a timely manner. If you are unable to make the rescheduled class, you will be issued a credit for the value of the class, the class credit will be added to your Gio Culinary Studio WALLET . We do not issue refunds for classes that are rescheduled due to weather, unforeseen circumstances or government-mandated shutdowns.

Gio Culinary Studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any class or event for any reason.

 We require a minimum number of registrations to hold a class. In the event Gio Culinary Studio cancels or reschedules a class, you will be sent a notification to the contact information (email address and phone number) you provided during registration. We will make every effort to contact you a minimum of 2 hours prior to the start of class. We can not be responsible if you neglect to check your messages or have provided us with incorrect contact information. Please acknowledge the receipt of the message ASAP. Failure to reply to this email and or voicemail within 24hrs from original contact will be considered a “no-show”,  you will forfeit your right to receive a refund /class credit, and will be removed from the class roster.

If a class is rescheduled by Gio Culinary Studio, your class registration will be transferred to the rescheduled date. If you are not able to attend the rescheduled date, a credit will be issued to your WALLET that may be used for any class of the same value. Class credits issued to you when we cancel or reschedule a class, do not expire. You may also receive a full or partial refund, by request if eligible*. If a class is rescheduled because of low registration, under most circumstances, the rescheduled class date will go on as planned, even if the minimum number of registrants is not met. If a class is canceled by Gio Culinary Studio with no alternate or rescheduled date, you will be offered a choice of a full refund or credit.

*Not eligible for a refund: Purchases/Reservations made with a Gift Card or Class Credit.

 

Requesting a Class Credit:

If you need to cancel your class seat, please reply to your order confirmation email or click on Class Credit Request and fill out the form. If you don’t know your order number or can’t find your confirmation email, log into your account and view your order information. With proper notification, you will receive a class credit to use for a future class. Class Credits expire one year from the date of issue. Class seats are not refundable.

How to use your Class Credit:

All Class credits with be added to your “Wallet-Class Credit” account.  You may check your Class Credit balance at any time by logging in and going to “My Account or “My Wallet“. To use it, after adding a class/event to your shopping cart, simply choose “Wallet-Class Credit” at check-out as the payment method.

  • Class credits expire 365 day from the date of issue. The expiration date will not be exteneded.
  • Courtesy Class Credits are valid for 30 -90 days at our discretion.
  • Class credits will not be refunded: If you have been issued a class credit for any reason, it cannot be refunded.
  • Class credit will not be reissued: Please be sure you are able to attend the class prior to using your class credit. 
  • Classes reserved with Gift Cards are not eligible for class credits.

 

Courtesy Class Credits:

Under some rare circumstances, and at the sole discretion of Gio Culinary Studio, you may be issued a courtesy class credit for missing a class in which the reason or notification time frame does not meet the conditions under the terms and policies. Courtesy class credits are valid for 30-90 days from the issuing date and will not be honored after expiration.

Class credits will not be refunded: If you have been issued a class credit for any reason, it cannot be refunded.

Class credit will not be reissued: Please be sure you are able to attend the class prior to using your class credit. 

Classes reserved with Gift Cards are not eligible for class credits.

 

Gift Card Policy:

  • May not be combined with any other offer. One Gift Card per reservation.
  • Gift Cards purchased online may only be redeemed online.
  • Gift Cards purchased online may not be used for in-studio purchases.
  • Gift Card is not redeemable for Private Classes unless specifically purchased for a private class.
  • Class seats must be reserved on-line prior to the start of class.
  • Desired Class seat availability cannot be guaranteed, reserve early.
  • Gift Card is not redeemable for cash.
  • Gift Card will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
  • Gift Card will not be reissued once redeemed.
  • Gift Cards are not refundable. 
  • Class Credits, or class exchanges will not be issued for reservation made using a gift card.
  • Gift Card will not be honored past the expiration date.

Auction and Donated Gift Certificates:

Will not be reissued, credited, replaced or extended past the expiration date.

Seat availability cannot be guaranteed:

We are unable to “hold” a class seat without payment/registration. We do not accept walk-ins.

Gift Giving:

Gio Culinary Studio Gift Cards are the preferred method of Gift Giving.

Scheduled classes are not intended to be given away as a gift, unless you are certain of the recipient’s availability for the class date. There are no gift certificates/cards or printable gift documentation associated with a scheduled class. 

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A SCHEDULED CLASS FOR SOMEONE UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN THEY ARE ABLE TO ATTEND THE SCHEDULED DATEWE SUGGEST PURCHASING A GIFT CARD. No-show’s will forfeit their seat; no class credit or refund will be issued. You, as the purchaser are responsible for the seat reservation. We will not take class credit or class exchange requests from the gift recipient of a scheduled class.

Please Do Not create an order or account under a Name / Email address other than your own. The order will be voided, and the account deleted. Gift Card options are available for gift giving. 

Class Menu:

Gio Culinary Studio reserves the right to make changes, omissions or additions to the class menu, ingredients and class format without notice. We are unable to accommodate for allergies or each individual student’s dietary preferences / restrictions during a class that is open to the public, there will be no menu item substitutions. A private cooking class may be arranged to accommodate diet restrictions.

Children and Minors

Children under 15 yrs old are not allowed in adult evening classes. We welcome children 15 and older for most classes unless indicated in the class description. The minor must be accompanied by an adult. The adult must also reserve a seat in the class. Chef’s Table Events , Wine Classes and any other event including alcohol , MUST BE 21+ to attend.

Private Classes/Event

Reserving:

CLASS FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE unless a class is canceled by Gio Culinary Studio. Class credits are available.

We require a minimum number of students or minimum fee to set up a private class. Your date is not reserved until the minimum number of students/guests have purchased seats or the minimum fee has been met. Gio Culinary Studio reserves the right to “give away” the agreed upon date at anytime if the minimum number of students have not registered, or the minimum fee has not been met. In the event another group requests your date and your group has not met the minimum number of registrations or minimum fee, you will be given ample notification and have the opportunity to either; pay the remaining balance in full to meet the minimum fee, or attempt to have the remaining members of your group complete registration within 24 hours of our notification. Gio Culinary Studio reserves the right to cancel a private class/event due low registration or for any reason. In the rare case that your private class/event is canceled by Gio Culinary Studio due to low registration or any other reason, you and or the individuals in your group will receive a full refund in the amount of the registration fee.

Canceling/ Rescheduling: Private Class/Event fees are NOT refundable unless the class/event is canceled by Gio Culinary Studio, with no rescheduled date offered, and meets the above criteria. If you and your entire group are unable to attend your private class or event on the scheduled/reserved date, we require a minimum of 48 hours notice of the cancellation. With proper notice, you will be given the option of rescheduling the class to a later date or receive a ONE TIME class credit for a future class. If the private class/event goes on as scheduled on the original date, and one or more members of your group are unable to attend, we will issue those members of your group or your organization a one time credit for a future class, ONLY if we are given the required 48 hr notice of cancellation. No credit or refunds will be given to no-shows , same day or last minute cancellations.

If you agree to a rescheduled date using your ONE TIME class credit and the rescheduled date is also cancelled by you, or members of your group are not able to make the date, the class/event fee will not be refunded or credited. One time Class Credits will not be reissued.

All policies, terms and code of conduct on this page apply to Private Class guest, along with the addition of:

1. Unless prior arrangements are made, private classes/events WILL NOT start until everyone in your party has arrived.

2. If the class start time is delayed by more than 10 minutes, Gio Culinary Studio reserves the right to remove menu item(s) or any Hands-on elements from the class in order to finish the class within the reserved time.

3. There will be no refunds or credits issued for no-shows, same day or last minute cancellations. (See full policies for details)

 

 

Wine and Alcohol in cooking classes

We allow students 21+ to bring and responsibly enjoy wine (or beer) during our cooking classes or private events at Gio Culinary Studio.

“BYO “Alcohol consumption in any class with any level of hands-on participation is limited to no more than ONE 750ml BOTTLE or FOUR 12 oz BEERS for every TWO ADULTS, or TWO GLASSES of Wine (5 oz) or TWO 12 oz BEERS for every one adult .

 This does not apply to demonstration only classes or chef’s table. Liquor and mixed drinks are not allowed at anytime.

Wine and beer are also available for purchase during classes and events.

Cooking Classes should be a fun and interactive learning experience for all in attendance. For everyone’s safety, we do not allow any level of intoxication in the studio. Please have fun but be responsible, and respectful.

We reserve the right to remove anyone from the studio at anytime for any reason. If you are removed from the studio, you will not be allowed back in at any time and you will not be entitled to a refund.

All Classed are Video Recorded for your safety and ours. (see below)

In-Studio Video Recordings

FOR SAFETY AND QUALITY ASSURANCE, ALL CLASSES AND IN-STUDIO EVENTS ARE RECORDED ON SURVEILLANCE VIDEO.

By agreeing to the terms and policies at check-out, you are providing consent to be recorded on video including audio. These recordings may be used for any purpose by Gio Culinary Studio, including but not limited to advertising, promotion, posting to social media, security surveillance, investigating incidents, and proof of service.

In Studio Conduct:

In order to maintain a fun, informative and safe environment for all, we require all students and guests to abide by the following rules:

  • Please arrive on-time
  • Please silence your phone
  • Please pay attention to the instructor
  • Enjoy conversation with others but please do not talk over the instructor
  • Please do not go behind the chef’s table without permission
  • Please do not go into our main kitchen, refrigerators or office space without permission
  • Please do not rearrange the furniture or seating
  • Please do not bring in outside food
  • Please do not bring in hard alcohol
  • Please do not overindulge in alcohol before or during class
  • You’re encouraged to ask many questions, but please raise your hand or wait for a break in instruction

Gio Culinary Studio reserves the right to expel any student or guest at anytime for the following reasons or any other reason determined by the owners and employees of Gio Culinary Studio to warrant expulsion.

• Rude, Disrespectful, Violent or Destructive behavior
• Excessive Lateness
• Intoxication
• Disruption of class or event
• Non-payment of class/event fee

If you are expelled from the premises for any reason, you will not be entitled to a refund or credit and you will not be allowed back on premises at any time.

 

Photos/Videos

Students and guests may take photos and videos during classes and events ONLY with Gio Culinary Studio permission, and ONLY in permissible areas. All photos and videos taken in the studio by any person, student or guest becomes the exclusive property of Gio Culinary Studio and may be used by Gio Culinary Studio without consent for any reason including promotion, marketing, and posting to social media.

Culinary Excursions:

By using this web site to reserve your Culinary Excursion with Gio Culinary Studio, you agree to the terms set forth in the contracts and terms provided to you prior to your reservation. Your initial deposit is Non-Refundable. please refer to your signed contract for full terms and conditions.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY – GIO CULINARY STUDIO
The individual reserving an event on this site and checks the box agreeing to “terms and conditions” at the check out process, desires to use one or more of Gio Culinary Studio facilities inclusive of rented facilities anywhere in the USA and abroad (collectively the “Facility”) and/or to participate in activities or programs (collectively the “Activities”) sponsored by or involving Gio Culinary Studio and all franchises thereof (collectively, “Gio Culinary Studio”). In consideration for Gio Culinary Studio permitting me to use the Facility and permitting me to participate in the Activities, I have agreed to execute this Release of Liability (the “Release”).

I acknowledge that using the Facility and participating in the Activities may involve certain inherent risks, including the risk of personal injury. I agree to assume all such risks, as well as any other risks involved in using the Facility, participating in the Activities or participating in any other activity sponsored by or involving Gio Culinary Studio.

I release and discharge Gio Culinary Studio and all of its employees, agents, representatives, partner, and members, as well as all other persons or entities that may own, operate or manage each Facility, as well as any and all other persons or entities that might have any liability whatsoever to me related to the Facility, the Activities, or Gio Culinary Studio (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from and against any and all damages, actions, claims and liabilities, whether known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, suspected or unsuspected, relating to or arising from any activity, occurrence or even involving, related to, or arising out of the Facility, the Activities, or Gio Culinary Studio.

This Release is intended to release and discharge the Released Parties from all damages, actions, claims and liabilities of any nature, specifically including, but not limited to, damages, actions, claims and liabilities arising from or related to the negligence of the Released Parties. I further agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Gio Culinary Studio and each of the other Released Parties from and against any loss, damage, liability and expense, including costs and attorneys’ fees, incurred by Gio Culinary Studio or any of the other Released Parties as a result of my using the Facility, participating in the Activities, or participating in any other activity sponsored by or involving Gio Culinary Studio.

Gio Culinary Studio reserves the right to use any photograph taken at the Facility, or in connection with any Activities or other activity involving Gio Culinary Studio, including but not limited to those taken during a program, a birthday party, a group event, or other Activity, to be used in Gio Culinary Studio promotional materials, brochures and website.
THIS RELEASE IS A BINDING LEGAL AGREEMENT. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY BEFORE AGREEING.
