Doors open 15 minutes before class time. Classes begin promptly at the time posted, please notify us if you will be arriving late.

Cancellation / Refund Policy: CLASS FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. If you are not able to attend a scheduled class and would like a one time class credit, you must notify us a minimum of 24 hours prior to the start of class. No credits will be issued to same day cancellations, last minute cancellations or no shows. You may send some one in your place if you are not able to give proper notification. If you need to cancel your class seat, please reply to your Order Confirmation EMAIL received when reserving the class. This policy is to ensure we have all the pertinent information in order to issue you a proper credit. If you contact us in any other method, you will simply be refereed to this policy.

Inclement weather cancellations: Classes that are canceled due to inclement weather will be rescheduled for a later date (or will be moved to a rain location if applicable). If you are unable to make the rescheduled class, you will be issued a credit for the value of the class. We do not issue refunds for classes that are rescheduled due to weather.

Gio Culinary Studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any class for any reason . We require a minimum number of registrations to hold a class. In the event Gio Culinary Studio cancels or reschedules a class, you will be sent notification to the contact information (email address and phone number) you provided during registration. We will make every effort to contact you a minimum of 2 hours prior to the start of class. We are not responsible if you neglect to check your messages or have provided us with incorrect contact information. Please acknowledge the receipt of the message in a timely manner. Failure to reply to this email and or voicemail within 12 hrs will be considered equivalent to a no-show and you will forfeit your right to receive a credit for the class, even if you are unable to attend the rescheduled date. If a class is rescheduled by Gio Culinary Studio, your class registration will be transferred to the rescheduled date. If you are not able to attend the rescheduled date, a credit will be issued that may be used for any class of the same value, credits never expire. You may also receive a full or partial refund, by request if eligible*. If a class is rescheduled because of low registration, under most circumstances, the rescheduled class date will go on as planned, even if the minimum number of registrants is not met. If a class is cancelled by Gio Culinary Studio with no alternate or rescheduled date, you will be offered a choice of a full refund or credit.

*Not eligible for a refund: Purchases/Reservations made with a Gift Certificate, E-Gift Cards or Class Credits.

Gift Certificates, E-Gift Cards and Class Credits:

  • May not be returned for a refund and can not be combined with any other promotion or offer.
  • Will not be reissued, credited, or refunded if lost, misplaced stolen or deleted.
  • Will not be reissued after redemption, please be certain you are able to attend the class that you reserved with a Gift or Class Credit.

Auction and Donated Gift Certificates: Will notbe reissued, credited, replaced or extended past the expiration date.

Seat availability can not be guaranteed: We are unable to"hold" a class seat without payment/registration. We do not except walk-ins.

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A SCHEDULED CLASS FOR SOME ONE ELSE UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN THEY ARE ABLE TO ATTENED THE SCHEDULED DATE. WE SUGGEST PURCHASING A GIFT CERTIFICATE INSTEAD SO THEY CAN CHOOSE THEIR OWN CLASS . We will not accept cancellation emails from gift recipients, only the class purchaser may request a credit. No-show's will forfeit their credit, no refund will be issued.

Class Menu: Gio Culinary Studio reserves the right to make changes, omissions or additions to the class menu, ingredients and class format without notice.We are unable to accommodate for allergies or each individual students dietary preferences / restrictions during a class that is open to the public, there will be no menu item substitutions. A private cooking class may be arranged to accommodate diet restrictions.

Private Classes/Events

Reserving: We require a minimum number of students or minimum fee to set up a private class. Your date is not reserved until the minimum number of students/guests have purchased seats or the minimum fee has been met. Gio Culinary Studio reserves the right to "give away" the agreed upon date at anytime, if the minimum number of students have not registered or the minimum fee has not been met. In the event another group requests your date and your group has not met the minimum number of registrations or minimum fee, you will be given ample notification and have the opportunity to either, pay the remaining balance in full to meet the minimum fee or attempt to have the remaining members of your group complete registration within 24 hours of our notification. Gio Culinary Studio reserves the right to cancel a private class/event due low registration or for any reason. In the rare case your private class/event is canceled by Gio Culinary Studio due to low registration or any other reason, you and or the individuals in your group will receive a full refund or credit in the amount of the registration fee.

Canceling/ Rescheduling: Private Class/Event fees are NOT refundable unless the class/event is cancelled by Gio Culinary Studio, and meets the above criteria. If you and your entire group are unable to attend your private class or event on the scheduled/reserved date, we require a minimum of 48 hours notice of the cancellation. With proper notice, you will be given the option of rescheduling the class to a later date or receive a ONE TIME class credit for a future class. If the private class/event goes on as scheduled on the original date, and one or more members of your group are unable to attend, we will issue those members of your group a one time credit for a future class ONLY if we are given the required 24 hr notice of cancellation. No credit or refunds will be given to no-shows , same day or last minute cancellations.

If you agree to a rescheduled date using your ONE TIME class credit and the rescheduled date is also cancelled by you, or members of your group are not able to make the date, the class/event fee will not be refunded or credited. One time Class Credits will not be reissued.

All policies, terms and code of conduct on this page apply to Private Class guest, along with the addition of:

1. Unless prior arrangements are made, private classes/events WILL NOT start until everyone in your party has arrived.

2. If the class start time is delayed by more than 10 minutes, Gio Culinary Studio reserves the right to remove menu item(s) or any Hands-on elements from the class in order to finish the class within the reserved time.

3. There will be no refunds or credits issued for no-shows, same day or last minute cancellations. (See full policies for details)

 

Culinary Excursions:

By using this web site to reserve your Culinary Excursion with Gio Culinary Studio, you agree to the terms set forth in the contracts and terms provided to you prior to your reservation. Your initial deposit is Non-Refundable. please refer to your signed contract for full terms and conditions.

In-Studio Conduct

In order to maintain a fun, informative and safe environment for all, we require all students and guests to abide by the following rules:

  • Please arrive on-time
  • Please silence your phone
  • Please pay attention to the instructor
  • Enjoy conversation with others but please do not talk over the instructor
  • Please do not go behind the chef's table without permission
  • Please do not go into our main kitchen, refrigerators or office space without permission
  • Please do not rearrange the furniture or seating
  • Please do not bring in outside food
  • Please do not bring in hard alcohol
  • Please do not overindulge in alcohol before or during class
  • You're encouraged to ask questions, but please raise your hand or wait for a break in instruction

Gio Culinary Studio reserves the right to expel any student or guest at anytime for the following reasons or any other reason determined by the owners and employees of Gio Culinary Studio to warrant expulsion.

• Rude, Disrespectful, Violent or Destructive behavior
• Excessive Lateness
• Intoxication
• Disruption of class or event
• Non-payment of class/event fee

If you are expelled from the premises for any reason, you will not be entitled to a refund or credit and you will not be allowed back on premises at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time should I arrive?

The doors open 15 minutes before the listed start time of class. Please let us know if you will be arriving late.

 

Can I show up to attend a class without a reservation or just to "check the place out"?

We do not allow walks-ins and don't give "tours". Entry is by appointment or reservation only.

 

How can I register for a class?

Simply go to our online class schedule, add your preferred class to the shopping cart and follow the checkout instructions.

What do I wear?

If you’re taking a hands-on class, dress to cook: casual and comfortable, with some low heeled, closed-toe shoes. No loose or dangling cloths or jewelry. No strong cologne or perfume PLEASE.

Do I need to bring anything?

We will supply the all the equipment and ingredients you needed in all classes. Each student will receive a recipe/guide packet with copies of all the recipes/guides used in the class. You may want to bring a pen for taking notes.

Do we get to eat what is made?

A generous sampling of everything made in class is provided. This is a cooking school however, not a restaurant. Though most people won't leave hungry, please don't expect to be served a full dinner. The fee is for the cooking lesson, not the food.

What is your cancellation policy?

Can my son/daughter take a class with me?

We welcome children 15 and older for most classes unless indicated in the class description, as long as each is accompanied by an adult. The adult must also reserve a seat in the class.

 

Can I have menu items in class substituted if I don't like them or are allergic to them?

We are not able to accommodate each individual students dietary needs and preferences in class that is open to the public. Please choose a class title with an agreeable menu, or schedule a private class with a customized menu. Please see Policies

 

May I bring wine to Cooking Classes/Private Event?

Yes, we allow students 21+ to bring and responsibly enjoy wine (or beer) during our cooking classes or private events at Gio Culinary Studio.

If indicated in the class description, wine tasting may be provided for certain class and venues. We do not allow liquor or mixed drinks.

We provide glasses and openers, however we do not provide ice, ice buckets or refrigeration for your beverages.

Photos / Videos:

Students and guests may take photos and videos during classes and events ONLY with Gio Culinary Studio permission, and ONLY in permissible areas. All photos and videos taken in the studio by any person, student or guest becomes the exclusive property of Gio Culinary Studio and may be used by Gio Culinary Studio without consent for any reason including promotion, marketing, and posting to social media.
